The mission of Kids With Food Allergies is to improve the day-to-day lives of families raising children with food allergies and empower them to create a safe and healthy future for their children. We strive to provide education and information in a variety of formats to meet the needs of all families.  One of the new and unique ways KFA provides help is through our online webinars. Our webinar series expands our current education and support services for families and covers a wide range of topics.  We're happy to announce that the live webinars as well as all archived webinar videos are available to all families at no cost.

KFA hosts these online educational meetings to help you and other families. A webinar attendee recently told us:

Dr. Robert Wood, chief of Pediatric Allergy and Immunology at Johns Hopkins. Dr. Wood reviewed the recent research study, Anaphylaxis in America, for parents and patients and answered questions from the audience about anaphylaxis.

David Stukus, Director of the Specialty Asthma Clinic, Nationwide Children's Hospital, and a member of KFA's Medical Advisory Team. Dr. Stukus reviewed the signs and symptoms of asthma and food allergy, the risks associated when a patient has both diseases, and how to determine if symptoms are asthma or anaphylaxis (severe allergic reaction).

Epinephrine in Schools: What You Need to Know (April 2013)
AAFA's VP of Public Policy, Charlotte Collins, JD, and KFA's Medical Advisory Team Chair, Dr. Michael Pistiner explain why access to epinephrine in schools is important to children who are at risk for anaphylaxis (severe allergic reaction). The key issues surrounding stocking epinephrine in schools were presented.
