Unfortunately food allergy bullying is relatively common.  Hopefully as awareness and education continue to permeate our school communities, understanding and support will make bullying less common.

 

Around 35% of food-allergic children report they have been bullied, harassed or teased due to their food allergies.  Most of this bullying occurs at school.
