When trying to determine whether a child has a food allergy, there are many steps involved. David Stukus, MD will review role of IgE testing, sensitization vs allergy, non-IgE mediated food allergy and component testing. Dr. Stukus will also discuss non-validated and controversial testing methods. A question and answer session will follow the presentation.

About Our Speaker

David Stukus, MD is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in Allergy/Immunology at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He has a special interest in caring for families with food allergies and asthma. He serves as Director of the Severe Asthma Clinic at Nationwide Chidren's Hospital and is involved heavily in community based advocacy and education. Dr. Stukus is the co-Chair of the KFA Medical Advisory Team and is a board member of the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America.
