Ahoy mateys!  While pirate crews are typically known for plundering, this band is known for giving.

Sarah Prye discovered Kids With Food Allergies in the summer of 2012, just a few months after her cheerful son Jack was diagnosed with multiple food allergies.  Sarah decided to bring Jack to KFA's 4th Annual Strides for Safe Kids Mall Walk and Expo.  "I wanted him to see he's not the only one," says Sarah.

Kyle_and_kidsThe 5th annual Strides for Safe Kids™ Mall Walk and Expo is coming up on September 8 and will be held at the Plymouth Meeting Mall near Philadelphia.  This year's event promises to be even more lively and fun for families than last year's event!

To add to the fun, Sarah registered the family under "Captain Jack's Peanut-Free Pirates."  She created a logo for T-shirts and the idea took off.  Her family was KFA's top fundraising team in 2012!

Sarah says she felt drawn to KFA as a donor for several reasons.  "We like to donate to groups where we feel a personal connection to the mission," she says.  "The kid aspect is so important ... to educate the next generation about food allergies."

Captain Jack's Peanut-Free Pirates will be at the KFA Mall Walk and Expo on September 8.  Will you join them?  When you participate in a KFA event, you support a cause creating better lives for children with food allergies.
