Wendyโ€™sยฎ is testing a New Grilled Chicken Sandwich that affects people with milk and sesame allergies.

The sandwich is available in seven areas around the U.S.:

  • Pittsburgh
  • Las Vegas
  • Jacksonville
  • Orlando
  • Gainesville
  • Kansas City
  • Austin

The original chicken sandwich contains egg and soy in the sauce, and a wheat bun. The original sandwich is still available nationwide, except for the seven test markets.

The New Grilled Chicken Sandwich contains egg, milk, sesame and wheat.

The multigrain bun shares a toaster with the companyโ€™s premium sandwich buns. Wendyโ€™s said to ask for untoasted sandwich buns if you have concerns about cross contact with the multigrain bun.

Cooking foods with the same equipment may cause cross-contact of allergens. Even a tiny amount of an allergen may cause a reaction. Learn how to prevent cross-contact in your own kitchen.

Wendy said to visit their website for the most up-to-date allergen information. Or call 800-433-7266, or email consumer.relations@wendys.com.
