I got the idea from Betty Crocker's site (via Pinterest). It was super easy to make! Basic sheet cake (Wacky Cake would work) and safe for DS candies for the trims (only managing TN). I used Hershey Kisses for the buttons/eyeball, Tootsie Rolls for the monocle, and subbed black frosting for the licorice strings (trim and hair). The monocle called for corn syrup, which I didn't have, so I used maple syrup instead. Honey would work, too. It also called for silver sugar, but I had blue and it looks good enough for me. I am *not* a cake decorator, so this really is an easy one.
