Tracy Tree & Sid Mallick, that is terrible.  I hope your little ones are okay.  I hope that *you* both are doing okay.  I hate dairy allergies with a passion - dairy is everywhere, and cross-contaminates SO easily.

I think that sounds pretty arrogant, Tracy, for them to "guarantee" that your child's reactions could not have been from their EB product.

To me, they said that if there was a chance of x-contam, they would put a "may contain" on the package (which made me laugh, b/c exactly *how* does that work in a huge production line??)

I hate it when a company can't decide what their official message is. At the very least, get all of the customer service reps singing the same song, y'know?

My son is allergic to milk-eggs-sesame- peanuts- treenuts and peas/chic peas.

he consumed just one bite of the white cheddar earth balance Mac and cheese and said his throat and tounge were itchy. I quickly looked at the box to see if the added any ingredients or if it said"may contain" or "made in a facility with..."

it did not. My son missed school-

vomitted and had diarrhea with stomach pain.

he had Benadryl.

i called customer service and the guaranteed me that earth balance faculty could not contain any of my sons allergens - and that they absolutely could be no way possibly that his reaction was to their product.

they told me to try again and see if he was ok.

we tried again last week with just one noodle and he said his tounge immediately was itchy and throat.

I didbt calles erg balance again because I was thinking he was developing another allergy.

i wish I did. I wish I called again.

maybe it would have been recalled earlier helping someone else not have a reaction

sorry-

I'm curious: did any of the packages have a "may contains" on it?

Because after my son reacted & we traced it to the EB mac&cheese, when I called the company they gave me the whole "we practice strict allergen checking protocols and if we feel there is a chance of X-contam we will put a 'may contain' statement on the package" spiel.

I will eat my words and apologize if I am wrong, but I'm willing to bet a nickel that there was no such statement present on the contaminated packages.

I hope the reactions were not severe.
