As more children are diagnosed with food allergies, we hear more stories of food allergy bullying. One way to prevent food allergy bullying is to help people have a better understanding of food allergies.

As many as 32% of children with food allergies say they have been bullied.1 To help prevent food allergy bullying, parents and schools can work together to increase awareness. Some schools are even including food allergy education in classroom lessons.

A story by National Public Radio looks at a personal story of food allergy bullying and how one school is using education as prevention

Kids With Food Allergies and other patient support groups are working to raise awareness through the No Appetite for Food Allergy Bullying campaign. If your teen has experienced food allergy bullying, share your story.
