As winter ends, many families start searching for a summer camp for their children. Camps present wonderful experiences for children with food allergies to build self-esteem and self-confidence while developing lifelong friendships. Join pediatric allergist Dr. Michael Pistiner and school and camp nurse Nancy Polmear-Swendris.

They will answer your questions about finding a camp and preparing for your child’s adventure:

  • Accommodations for different types of camps - day camps, sleep away camps, sport camps, tech/academic camps, municipal summer recreation programs, Scouting programs
  • Food decisions – working with food service or sending your own
  • Storing and carrying epinephrine – dealing with summer temperatures
