Teal is the color of food allergy awareness and teal pumpkins have become the symbol of food allergy awareness at Halloween. When you see a teal pumpkin, it means non-food treats are available for kids with food allergies or other dietary restrictions.

Kids With Food Allergies has tips to help you have a safer and more inclusive Tealoween.

1. Raise awareness about food allergies and being inclusive.

Change your social media profile picture to show people you support a safer, more inclusive celebration for all children. Right-click one of the images below, save it, and the upload it to your social media profile.

This is great.  I get a few hundred kids every Halloween, my neighborhood is a madhouse!  I will definitely be participating in Teal-O-Ween this year. Thanks for these ideas for non-food items to handout and accompanying resources so more kids can feel included in Trick or Treating.

We officially moved into the country but our home town has a spooktacular festival the week before Halloween. I would really like to bring this tradition to my community. I think I am going to put a letter to the community in our local paper about the teal pumpkin project and then see if I can get donations for local businesses to do teal pumpkins during the festival so that people will also see it there and raise some awareness before Halloween. I am pretty late in doing this. hopefully it works out. Thankyou for all the helpful information and printouts! Can I use them for my add? Wish me luck hopefully we can have a fun and safe trick or treating!
