If you buy SkinnyPop’s dairy-free White Cheddar popcorn, check the labels closely next time you shop. SkinnyPop just released two new flavors that have dairy ingredients: Aged White Cheddar and Pepper Jack.

It is important to always read ingredient labels to check for allergens (like milk). The Aged White Cheddar (with dairy) is in an orange bag. The White Cheddar (dairy-free) is in a yellow bag. The names and bag colors are similar.

Always read labels carefully when grocery shopping. Product packages may look alike. Manufacturers may also change ingredients without warning.

Food companies may also make products in different facilities, so different boxes of the same products may have different warnings. Always double-check labels.

SkinnyPop has updated their website with the following statement about their facility processes:

Are SkinnyPop products produced in a facility that contain any of the top 8 allergens?

Some of our facilities process soy, wheat, fish, shellfish, and dairy – that’s why we’ve always been and continue to be committed to using FDA and industry standard cleaning techniques before producing any SkinnyPop products and we keep our ingredients separate from others within our facilities.

We encourage you to contact SkinnyPop if you have questions: (512) 640-9050
