Congratulations to New York and the family of Giovanni Cipriano on the passing of Gio's Law.

Gio's Law, S3247B, authorizes certain New York emergency service providers to be trained to treat anaphylaxis, a serious allergic reaction, and carry epinephrine in their vehicles.

Gio's Law is named after Giovanni Cipriano. Giovanni passed away unexpectedly at age 14 after an allergic reaction. Since then, his mom, Georgina Cornago Cipriano has been advocating for Gio's Law.

The Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America (AAFA) and its division Kids With Food Allergies (KFA) thanks the state of New York and Governor Andrew Cuomo for passing Gio's Law. We are confident this law can make epinephrine more accessible in emergencies and help save lives.

Help support KFA's efforts to advocate for better protections for families managing food allergies. KFA is here to help families manage their fears and move to a place of confidence. Your gift helps us support families through our food allergy education programs, research, advocacy and community outreach.
