I am so thankful that he is OK and hope the mom/ dad/ other family members are, too. I remember after having used the Epi our allergist asked "how were you with using the epi?" and I said, simply, "I was fine with it... I wasn't fine with my son not being able to breath!" I hope that you felt the same, or that whoever actually used it. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Wow -- amazing that he is still so hivey and red after the Epi and Benedryl were already on board. Lynda is right -- you probably did save his life. Good job Mom!
I hope he is feeling better now. And how smart of you to take a video so that you can remind him when he is older and hasn't had a reaction for a long time.
I'm so thankful he is ok - but watching this made me cry. It hits so close to home. I am always amazed at how brave our lil ones are - much braver than I am. Thanks for sharing. I shared it on my FB page so that others who aren't dealing with FAs will have an idea of what we are dealing with and why we may seem so "overprotective" of our FA kids.
Thanks for posting this!! With a 7 year old with peanut, tree nut and egg allergies, I am always trying to explain what it looks like and haven't had much of my head on during a reaction to record it! Praying for Sam to continue feeling better and thankful for this video to be able to show the example!
Thank you for your kind comments. This was a couple of hours after he ate the walnut. He had Benadryl and the Epi-Pen Jr. injection before heading to the hospital. He was much improved at this point and out of the woods, so to speak.
Wow!! That really puts a visual image to what I imagine what might happen to my little one. I'm so, so happy that Sam is well!! Best to you and little Sam!

Thanks for posting this. Had he had a shot of Epi at that point? Or did they give him one after this video was taken? Just curious.

So glad he is okay!
This is my 3 year old recovering at the hospital after ingesting a small amount of walnut. He is allergic to peanuts, eggs and tree nuts.
