Yep, Vera's in preschool, too, and she'll be heading to kindergarten in the fall. We've had such great support for the last two years there (they replaced the snacks, like Goldfish and Gogurts, with allergy-friendly ones). I'm trying not to be worried about her next year, in a cafeteria with unaware new friends. Her dairy allergy is so bad, it affects her if someone had eaten or touched something dairy-related hours earlier. She breaks out into hives and her eyes swell up ... but she's been so accepting and brave about it. She kindly lets everyone know about her allergy and always asks about ingredients if someone offers her food. I'm sure she'll adjust well.
