I had previously thought Enjoy Life foods were made in a top-8-free allergen facility, but I feel like I am seeing more products that are only in nut-free or gluten-free facilities - facilities where dairy, egg, etc. are still processed. Glad their product line is expanding for allergen "friendly" options, but stressful that I still have to check facility info on these new products.
These are really good! I grabbed a box of the crunchy Chocolate Chip at Sprouts and (confession time) they didn't last long! I had to slap hubs' hands and tell him he had to leave them for me since I rarely treat myself to gluten free cookies!!
A few years back, there was no sesame warning on the Cedar's Fat-Free Hummus, and I stupidly bought it for my sesame-free daughter. The first container was fine. The second put her in the hospital. I wrote to the company asking if they processed on shared equipment, and they didn't bother to respond. I've also realized that most companies process their tzaziki on shared equipment as sesame.
