Sounds great My youngest sons peanut rasts have gone down in the last year from 2.09 to .95 (he is 12).He has had ana type reactions to them 4 years ago now, tingling throat, metallic taste in mouth, throat swelling which lead to a choking cough, and mucous, as well as similar reactions to almonds, some more recently as last year to these, but he passed an IOFC for almonds at the end of last year after rasts went from .59 to .39.We have avoided all nuts until just recently and now he has...
I enjoyed the July 31st webinar! It was very informative. I do disagree with one point. He stated that a small study showed that only a rash occurred with peanut butter spread on an allergic child's skin. My child has had hives and swelling with just skin contact....Many times. For example; After a kiss on the cheek by someone who just ate a PBJ, my child had a face full of hives and swollen lips. After sitting next to a child eating peanuts, she had hives all over her body, and a runny...
Hi Kathy, Yes, I would assume this would do nicely with celery instead of mushroom. I've not made it myself (I'm just now convincing myself that it's okay to eat celery twice a year ). I would suggest replacing the 1 cup of mushrooms with about 3/4 cup diced celery. For the cream of mushroom soup, it is delicious on pasta -- I mix it with broccoli and served on gluten-free pasta. Also--good for casserole; but if you're storing it before use, it will really thicken/condense (garbanzo flour is...

My children cook with me this one is so easy fun and takes very minimal time. It's a thicker pork chop. Usually I buy a half pork loin and ask the butcher to slice it on the thicker side. I set them on a plastic cutting board add salt and pepper which I let my children pull up a chair and sprinkle on. Then we cover chops with cellophane overlapping the entire board and get out a meat mallet or for my two year old I let her use her build to grow hammer and lightly pound the chops. I say...
Thank you for sharing your experience with us, Steven & Jody! You will remain in my prayers. 🙏🏼 I can’t even begin to imagine..... With tears in my eyes from your story above, I think of our youngrst son who has both food allergies & asthma. Stay strong! And please continue to spread your experience with the world, so we can educate more people on the dangers of asthma & food allergies! Much love to you both ❤️
Carrageenan is allowed in infant formulas in the US, one of the most closely scrutinized & regulated substances for sale. "Nutrition blogs" give me the heebie-jeebies b/c they don't have to back anything they say up - they just make their site look pretty, say what they want & rumors spread like wildfire. Very few people go digging for peer-reviewed journal articles to back up what they've read. The citations I've seen about carrageenan studies have all been done on animals. That's...
