Our June 2015 winner of our year-long #‎WhereInTheWorldIsMyEpinephrine campaign is her own food allergy advocate!

Bridget is five-and-a-half years old and lives with her little brother and parents in Everett, WA. This strong and feisty little girl is allergic to almond, peanut, egg and soy.

Bridget has carried her own epinephrine auto-injectors since she was three. Her mom carries back-up ones, of course! Bridget carries the emergency medications in a handmade red purse with a white cross. The first-aid type design gives her parents a chance to explain how epinephrine is the only treatment for anaphylaxis (anna-fih-LACK-sis). Anaphylaxis is a serious allergic reaction that must be treated immediately.

“Every child and family living with a food allergy knows the constant strain, but there is so much happiness, too. Life may not be as convenient as it could be, but even little wins are big ones when you have food allergies,” said her mom, Katherine.

Bridget and her family win their choice of $400 worth of Certified asthma & allergy friendly™ products.

Where do you take your or your child's epinephrine? Show us your epinephrine when you hit the road this summer! Add your photo to our campaign and the next  winner could be you! (You do not need to show your auto-injectors - just show us a photo of where you have taken them with you in your photos.)

Studies show many people leave their emergency medicine behind, so take yours with you – to the beach, to the pool, to the movies, anywhere you go.
