Ottawa, September 24, 2013 - The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and Farm Boy 2012 Inc. are warning people with allergies to eggs and milk not to consume the Farm Boy brand Plain Croissants describe below. The affected product contains egg and milk which are not declared on the label.
This product was sold only at Farm Boy, 499 Terry Fox Drive, Kanata, ON.
There has been one reported illness associated with the consumption of this product.
Consumption of this product may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction in persons with allergies to eggs and milk.
The retailer, Farm Boy 2012 Inc., Ottawa, ON, is voluntarily recalling the affected product from the marketplace. The CFIA is monitoring the effectiveness of the recall.
