Undeclared peanut in certain IMPERIAL Brand WAFER ROLLS
OTTAWA, May 8, 2012 - The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is warning people with allergies to peanuts not to consume the Imperial brand Wafer Rolls described below. The affected products contain peanut which is not declared on the label.
All lots of the following Imperial brand Wafer Rolls are affected by this alert:

These products have been distributed in British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Ontario.
There has been one reported reaction associated with the consumption of these products.
Consumption of these products may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction in persons with allergies to peanuts.
The importer, Omega Food Importers <abbr title="company">Co.</abbr> <abbr title="Limited">Ltd.</abbr>, Mississauga,<abbr title="ontario">ON</abbr>, is voluntarily recalling the affected products from the marketplace. The <acronym title="Canadian Food Inspection Agency">CFIA</acronym> is monitoring the effectiveness of the recall.
