Hong Lee Trading Inc., NY, is recalling its VINA CAFÉ WAKE-UP INSTANT COFFEE MIX in 18 PACK CARDBOARD BOXES (.6 oz packs), with lot “EXP:17.MAR.2019 1T13.” because they contain undeclared milk allergens. Consumers who are allergic to milk allergens may run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume this product.
The recalled VINA CAFÉ WAKE-UP INSTANT COFFEE MIX were distributed throughout New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. The product comes in a 0.6 ounce plastic package, with 18 packets per cardboard box marked with lot “EXP: 17.MAR.2019 1T13” on the bottom of the box.
No illnesses or allergic reactions involving this product have been reported to date.
The recall was initiated after routine sampling by New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets Food Inspectors and subsequent analysis by Food Laboratory personnel revealed the presence of undeclared milk allergens in the 0.6 ounce plastic package, with 18 packets per cardboard box of VINA CAFÉ WAKE-UP INSTANT COFFEE MIX which did not declare a milk ingredient on the label.
Consumers who have purchased 0.6 ounce plastic package, with 18 packets per cardboard box of VINA CAFÉ WAKE-UP INSTANT COFFEE MIX are urged to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund. Consumers with questions may contact Hong Lee Trading Inc. at (718) 386-2100.
