The products subject to recall bear the establishment number “EST 6273” or “P-6273” inside the USDA Mark of Inspection. These products were sold nationwide to distributors, restaurants, and over the Internet.
The problem was discovered during a Food Safety Assessment. The firm mistakenly believed the releasing agent was a processing aid that did not need to be declared on the label. FSIS and the company have received no reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products. Anyone concerned about a reaction should contact a health care provider.
FSIS routinely conducts recall effectiveness checks to verify that recalling firms notify theircustomers of the recall and that steps are taken to make certain that the product is no longer available to consumers.
