They have no food allergies, but I still used my allergy friendly go to cakes!  The bottom "pocket" is 2 layers of double batch Wacky Cake (3 c flour) in a quarter sheet pan. I baked 2 separate layers. Top oval "badge" is Vegan Zebra Cake as a "surprise" in a 6" oval pan.  The frosting is all Wilton recipe buttercream. The plaque on top of the badge was done w/ white chocolate and candy melts (so dairy).  I learned not to combine the 2!  The candy melts are much thinner and wound up kind of seeping under the white chocolate writing. I used PhotoShop to make the badge image the right dimensions to fit the pan - I had to squish it a tad.  I printed it out in mirror image, taped it to a sheet pan, and taped parchment on top.  I used that as template to draw in chocolate on top.  One mistake I made was lifting it up to see how things looked.  I think that was part of the issue that allowed the red candy melt to get under - the chocolate separated from the paper a little.  Also, since the white (and blue) chocolate was thicker, it held more of a round shape piping it out.  I should have thinned it a little w/ some shortening or paramount crystals.  The silver frosting is snow white buttercream (same basic recipe, but use all shortening) tinted with moonbeam silver luster dust.  The eagle was a candy/chocolate mold I ordered on line.  I dry brushed it w/ the same silver luster dust.

My friend, her Eagle Scout son and the rest of their family was very happy w/ the cake and I just got a note from her that it was delicious!
