Annette, that is really a grotesque looking cake that any boy would LOVE to have! I'll bet he loved it. Great job, BTW....it looks toooo real.

I'd bet that an 11 yo would think that was the best cake ever! Sounds very similar to marshmallow fondant.

I didn't think it was going to come out so good the taffy was quite pink. But once I covered it with blood you couldn't tell. It sent us all into sugar shock but my 11 year olds words...... Best birthday cake ever!!

I used a can of sprite and one box of cake mix. That made 2 round cakes to make the shape of a brain. Then I melted a whole bag of mini marshmallow in the microwave. Kneaded it with confectioners sugar. PAin in the butt!! Turned out like taffy. Colored it and rolled it. Placed the strips all around the cake which I might add was covered in pf ef frosting. Dark corn syrup and red food coloring for gore.
