My son has a serious coconut allergy. It is incredibly disappointing to see that this is not going to be indentified in the future, as coconut is in many, many products.
So now there’s a greater possibility that Free From shellfish or other labeling means potential mollusk contamination won’t be labeled because it’s excluded from the “major” list? Not that I’m buying many processed foods anymore, except Asian sauces which may carry risk. I’m happy for the improvement for egg and dairy labeling, but for those allergic to many other things, I’m feeling increasingly sidelined.
