Show Us Your #FacesOfFoodAllergies to Raise Food Allergy Awareness

Kids With Food Allergies ·
One in 13 children has a food allergy. As part of Food Allergy Awareness Week, May 14-20, we are hosting a photo contest. Post a photo of your child with food allergies and you could win a Kids With Food Allergies prize package. We want to work together to improve knowledge and understanding of food allergies. We hope raising awareness will help reduce bullying of children with food allergies. Bullying is common among children with food allergies, and is associated with lower quality of life...

Congratulations to our third winner Krissy and her son Christian ! Christian asked his teacher to wear a teal ribbon this week for Food Allergy Awareness. She has worn it everyday and it makes him feel so special. Christian wanted to make her feel special too, so he got her a gift and wrote her a card. He even wanted the gift wrapped with teal ribbon. "Mrs. Newman, Thank you for supporting me. Having a food allergy is scary, but you make it better" - Christian

Congratulations to our final winner Melissa G! We were moved by her story and how she uses dance as an outlet when being bullied at school. Kudos to Melissa for her perseverance and for finding a supportive partner. In honor of Food Allergies Awareness week, I wanted to post this to show how I overcome food allergies everyday. Dance was an outlet for me, no matter how many people made fun of me at school or parties for not being able to eat the food. I always feared that I would never find a...

I'll be glad to wave a magic wand behind the scenes and try my hand at adding it, Lisa. What would you like me to add? Or you can add your son's "allergy set" to your signature, and it will be automatically added to everything you post. If you need help with creating your signature, check out the thread " FAQ: How do I add or edit my signature? "
