Hi! Thanks! Bryson is allergic to fish, shellfish, peanuts, tree nuts, eggs, dairy, strawberries, pineapples, penicillin, hydroxyzine, erythromycin, grass, and dogs! He also has severe eczema and cannot really tolerate too much heat! He is a great kid who just wants to be active and unrestricted like his friends.

My 5 y/o on 5/8/12 before the Kindergarten's Celebration of Learning Program. Today, 5/11/12, we had to pull him from class again.. due to an unsafe activity, story on link below. Jayden has a severe peanut allergy and was diagnosed at 14 months. https://www.facebook.com/note....id=10150972917083968

Re: 22 Things We Wish You Could Understand About Food Allergies

ninderella ·
Yes, I know your hamburger buns, crackers, cereal, etc do not contain pieces of peanuts that are visible to the naked eye, so please don't roll your eyes at me when I ask if there is a label I can read or if I can speak with a restaurant manager about possible cross-contamination. That and other parents please learn to read food labels! Again, if the allergen is not visible it might still be there hence the "processed on the same equipment" or "processed in the same facility" "or may contain...

Welcome to KFA Aubrianna is adorable? Is dairy the only allergy you manage? Be sure to check out our milk allergy page and stop by our babies, toddlers and preschoolers forum to let us know how things are going.

Re: Aubrianna

Kysera ·
Thank you Dairy is the only confirmed allergy, however we are under strict orders from her allergist to avoid peanuts until we get her blood work results. She developed hives when she had a taste of peanut butter but didn't react to the skin test, so I am hopeful but nervous at the same time! Thank you so much for the links. I will make sure to check them out.

Re: Aubrianna

Katie D ·
You are welcome. If the test is negative will you plan for an in-office peanut challenge? Hives are a definite reaction, and although her skin tests were negative I am glad to hear you are strictly avoiding. Also check out the newly diagnosed section, lots of helpful information there.

Re: Allergies and asthma can’t stop this girl!

Lindsey4 ·
Thank you momofthree. Everyday she starts the morning off with her preventative inhaler. If we are going outside we give her Zyrtec. We do not purchase any food that has or that is processed in a facility that has ingredients she’s allergic to. We never leave the house without her 2 epi pens and rescue inhaler.
