We also cannot have rice. This has been a big frustration for us. My son is newly diagnosed with many food allergies, and I am having trouble finding recipes without rice. In this recipe, are there any ingredients that can be used instead of rice? Thank you so much!
JMC623! Join us on the KFA forums, where you can get lots of good suggestions and support! Our Food and Cooking forum is a great place to ask questions about safe substitutes to make recipes work for you -- the moms on KFA's Food and Cooking forum helped me plan a corn-free, peanut free, soy-free Chinese New Year Banquet, so I'd say they can just about do anything.
Leslie, I'm not sure ... I'm thinking you could try it without it but you may have to adjust the other ingredients because the protein powder may act like a binder of sorts, and it may be too wet otherwise. I'll send up a flare and see if we can't figure it out.
I can't help but wonder what regulations were in place when this happened, and how a mistake of this type was not caught until after the items were sold. Do you think there was more than one way to prevent this from happening, or just an inevitable mistake?
This is a tragedy at our house. Their chocolate bars were essential treats for my son's diet when we would be out and couldn't get something for him on the road.
