A few years back, there was no sesame warning on the Cedar's Fat-Free Hummus, and I stupidly bought it for my sesame-free daughter. The first container was fine. The second put her in the hospital. I wrote to the company asking if they processed on shared equipment, and they didn't bother to respond. I've also realized that most companies process their tzaziki on shared equipment as sesame.
Welcome to the community @GMR , happy to have you here! I'm so sorry to hear you both had that experience. I hope you're both doing well now. Hopefully with the FASTER Act and sesame now being a top allergen that companies are required to label, reactions like that can be avoided for more people.
