It was really fun and easy to prepare the salad for photographing! The cinnamon in the dressing is an unusual choice but goes so well to bring out the sweetness in the carrots. Linda has provided so many delicious allergy-friendly recipes over the years, and it is an honor to be able to provide some color to Linda's post.
Thank you for cooking it up and taking the photos! Were you able to find the mixed dried fruit bits, or did you just use raisins? It's hard to tell from the photo. The carrot salad would still be delicious either way.
this dragon cake is peanut, dairy, egg, and even apple free. (i know a lot of people use apple sauce in cakes, but my little one is allergic to that as well) the kids loved chosing what piece of the dragon to "chop off" to eat!

We have found our local Applebee' s to be very supportive of our granddaughter's allergies (top 8 plus tomatoes, beans, peas, corn, beef). They cook her a chicken breast in a clean pan w/o oils, steam her fresh veggies from unused previously unopened packages of each veggie, lettuce w/o dressing (sometimes she has her chicken in the salad and we bring some dressing she can have), etc. And, they come check on her frequently to make sure there are no problems.
