Have you ever wondered why every year the news media appears to portray the springtime allergy season as “the worst allergy season ever?”
Jon Stewart, host of The Daily Show on Comedy Central, asked that same question. In classic Daily Show style, he combined news clips from 2006 all the way up to this year, which has been called a “pollen tsunami.”
Mike Tringale, the Senior Vice President of External Affairs for the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America, appeared on the May 27 show to explain to Jon why the hype isn’t really hype and is, in fact, increasing each year due to climate change.
