Dr. Green has written a special opinion piece for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette advocating for more awareness and safety protocols for schoolchildren with food allergies.
Despite growing awareness of food allergy among the public and medical professionals and an increasing prevalence of food allergy as well as anaphylaxis, tragedies continue to occur.
Dr. Todd Green is an allergist/immunologist in the Division of Pulmonary Medicine, Allergy & Immunology at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC. He is on the Board of Regents of the Pennsylvania Allergy and Asthma Association and on the medical advisory team of Kids With Food Allergies Foundation, dedicated to keeping children with food allergies safe.
