Many families with food allergies also struggle with asthma and environmental allergies. This month, the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America (AAFA), the parent organization of Kids With Food Allergies (KFA), is pleased to bring you information about these issues to television!
Michele Cassalia, AAFA spokesperson, will talk about AAFA’s asthma & allergy friendly™ Certification Program on Lifetime Television’s™ The Balancing Act and Designing Spaces.
The asthma & allergy friendly™ Certification Program tests and identifies consumer products that are more suitable for people with asthma and allergies.
Michele will talk about how these products can help people with asthma and allergies, what to do if you're planning to build a new home, and more. Products in the Certification program include vacuum cleaners, paint, bedding, toys, air cleaners, and more.
Designing Spaces airs on May 14 and May 21 at 7:00 am ET. Michele and the host will discuss the most common allergy triggers in the home and their hiding spots.
Watch the encore for the first episode of The Balancing Act, "Resources and Tips for Asthma & Allergy Sufferers," on May 18 at 7:30 am ET.
Another episode, "Making your Home More Asthma and Allergy Friendly," airs on May 20 at 7:30 am ET.
