Craft Ideas to #KeepItTeal
Halloween is on its way! You want to show others you are going to #KeepItTeal to support kids with food allergies and special diets. But maybe you aren't quite ready to carve pumpkins. Use our craft printouts and ideas to create fun decorations and personalized items you can use year after year!
T-shirt or Sweatshirt - Use the color printout or stencil printout to create your one of a kind t-shirt. Anticipating a chilly walk around the neighborhood for trick-or-treat? Use the design on a sweatshirt! It's easy to do with t-shirt transfer paper. You can find the special paper at craft stores and office supply stores. Follow the instructions to prepare the fabric and iron on the transfer. Be sure to print in "reverse" or "mirror." You will need to find that option in your computer's print settings. Add your own touches with fabric paint or other embellishments.
Tote Bag - Create special trick-or-treat bags for the kids that let others know they #KeepItTeal. Start with a plain, light colored tote bag from the craft store and one of our printouts.
Keep it simple with just the color image. Use the stencil printout and let the kids color their own creation with fabric paints or pens to make it special. Grab your glue gun to add ribbons or other fun details.
Halloween Decor - Create a special sign for your door. Craft stores have a variety of blank wood plaques. Use stencils or free-hand lettering to write your #KeepItTeal message. Not the crafty type? Start with our craft stencil printout.
Transfer the lines using carbon paper or rub pencil on the back to create your own "carbon paper." Fill in with paint or permanent marker. Glue on fun ribbons, felt shapes or other details. Be sure to add a coat of sealer to protect it from the weather.
Stickers, Bag Tags or Buttons - Print out stickers to use on goody bags of non-food treats. Or use the sticker printout to make treat bag tags.
Print out on heavy paper and cut out with fancy scissors. Punch a hole and tie to goodie bags with ribbon. These are great for class parties or handing out for trick-or-treat.
If you have a button maker, print the images on plain paper and cut out to fit the button template.
