@K8sMom2002 I got the pumpkin from Michaels, then I bought decorative, ornate bats to place on it and ordered 1" vinyl mailbox letters off Amazon to use! I tried several other letters/stickers but they wouldn't stay. I almost did stencil & paint but this worked well and is reusable every year

Yes there is a way to show that. It is known as the Teal pumpkin project. You put a Teal pumpkin on your porch, or front of your house along with one of the signs letting those know that you have safe non food or allergy safe items . That is what the Teal pumpkins represent.

Wow Georgina5.... Did you HONESTLY think I didn't read the article? I wasn't asking about MY PORCH... I was asking if there was a way to "mark" your kids so other parents at the HOUSES know your kids are TEAL. It really isn't that difficult to read the response before answering incorrectly. Especially with kids 5+ you aren't necessarily on the porch with them making sure they take something they can have, and kids are kids and can have that out of their bucket on their way down the stairs...

Re: #KeepItTeal: A Safer and More Inclusive Halloween for Kids on Special Diets
There are so many ways to show your zeal for teal that I'm sure as this awareness initiative grows in the years ahead there will be so many imaginative ways to display teal, both on kids and on houses! Maybe kids could carry teal-colored glowsticks (the kind that snap to light and last for a few hours) - which could also double for safety once it gets a little dark out. You could also carry teal-colored treat bags, or paint a plastic orange pumpkin teal to carry. The teal glowsticks, if they...

Re: #KeepItTeal: A Safer and More Inclusive Halloween for Kids on Special Diets
We did half and half on the treats too. But I put them in separate bowls since I know some people don't even want the wrappers touching... That said, we didn't get many who requested non-food treats, but we got plenty to opted for them. I figure that was a win anyway since none of the kids need all that candy! I think this year, I'll skip the candy altogether - this will keep me from eating the leftovers and anything leftover will keep for next year!
