File CommentThe base is 2 - 9x13 cakes (trimmed on the edges). I used dowels between that and the hat. The hat is 4 - 9" round wacky cakes with dowels that support the brim and bunny. the brim is 2 frosted cake boards. The bunny is homemade marshmallow fondant. In between the layers is homemade frosting with crushed birthday cake oreos mixed in. This is only my second time making a 3D cake so it's far from perfect, but I tried to cover up the mistakes the best I could. I misjudged the size of the dowels...

File CommentYes, they are green! I first found them last year at a farm stand where I learned they can often be found in ethnic markets. I bought these at a European style open air market in town. They are in little fuzzy pods that have 1 or 2 beans in each. I then blanch them in some boiling water and shock them in ice water to keep the color. These I sauteed w/ some garlic and pepper flakes in olive oil, then tossed w/ the pasta.

File Comment1/4 cup crisco 16 oz bag mini marshmallows 2 tsp pure clear vanilla 2 Tbsp water 2 lbs powdered sugar Measure the powdered sugar and put in bowl of stand mixer with the hook attachment. Grease the hook with crisco. Next, measure 1/4 cup of crisco into a large microwave safe bowl and take a small piece of it to grease the whole bowl. Add in the marshmallows, vanilla and water. Microwave for 60 seconds and then stir. Continue to microwave on 30 second intervals and mixing until it's smooth.
