Celebrate Pi(e) Day with #Pi4All Allergy-Friendly Pie Photo Contest

SoDelogo

So Delicious® Offering #Pi4All Photo Contest to Raise Funds, Awareness for Kids With Food Allergies

So Delicious® Dairy Free is launching a fun way for you to celebrate this historic Pi Day, raise money and awareness for Kids With Food Allergies (KFA), and possibly win some money for yourself at the same time!

For over 25 years, math lovers have celebrated Pi Day on 3/14, since 3, 1 and 4 are the first three significant digits of "Pi" (the ratio of a circumference of a circle to its diameter) . Over the years, many people have celebrated with special pies and pie-eating contests. Recognizing that Pi Day has become, for some, another food-focused occasion where people with food allergies may feel left out, our friends at So Delicious® are running an Instagram contest this weekend to highlight how people with allergies can participate.

So Delicious® will donate $3.14 to KFA for every allergy-friendly pie photo entered. One lucky person will win $314 for their photo! Ten others will win three VIP coupons.

To participate:
1. Snap a photo of any allergy-friendly pie.
2. Upload the photo to Instagram between 3/13-3/15.
3. Include a description of your allergy-friendly pie (e.g., “This is my #dairyfree #glutenfree cream pie).
4. Photos must include #Pi4All and @so_delicious to be counted.
5. Limit one entry per person per day (3 total)
6. Winners will be selected randomly by So Delicious Dairy Free by 5pm PST on Monday, March 16.

For a full list of rules and more on the campaign, see the company’s blog post here. If you need a pie idea, browse recipes on KFA's SafeEats™ database, which has two dozen allergy-friendly pie recipes!

This year’s Pi Day will generate more attention than ever before since it is being called the “Pi Day of the Century.” That’s because the day, month and year, followed by the time, will represent the first ten digits of Pi – in other words, math lovers all over the world will celebrate this once in a lifetime event of seeing 3.141592653 represented by 3/14/15 at 9:26:53 AM and PM.

KFA thanks So Delicious® for their continuing support and generous donation!
