Ms. Miller discussed what you need to know to communicate your needs to your family and friends. She said families with food allergies need to:

  • Understand the food allergy diagnosis
  • Communicate the food allergy diagnosis
  • Form positive and supportive relationships around your food allergy diagnosis

Medical needs are non-negotiable, said Ms. Miller, the founder and president of Allergic Girl Resources, Inc. Be clear, firm and factual when talking to relatives and friends when planning holiday events.

She also discussed:

  • Mourning the loss of the holidays of your childhood
  • Reframing what the holidays mean now
  • Connecting with the joy of the season

KFA thanks Ms. Miller for donating her time to prepare and give this webinar. We also thank Mylan Specialty for sponsoring this webinar.
