When your child has food allergies, an essential part of keeping them safe is reading labels and checking ingredients in restaurants. Ingredients, even at chain or franchise restaurants, can be different based on the region. It’s important to check the restaurant’s website or ask about ingredients at the location, especially when traveling or for new, seasonal flavors.

For example, the new Peppermint Frosty at Wendy’s contains different allergens at restaurants in Alaska and Hawaii.

Wendy’s Peppermint Frosty contains milk in all U.S. states, but also soy in Alaska and Hawaii

Always make sure to check the website or local restaurant for their ingredients. Always read labels carefully. Ingredients may also change without warning.

Thank you to our AAFA Alaska chapter for alerting us to this product ingredient difference.
