French Toast and Pancakes: Verdict - Meh x 3 Mixing it - I didn't want to mix up the entire pouch. After some looking along the website I found you could mix it up in smaller batches if you have a device that can blend a smaller amount of liquid. I did 4 tsp and 1 cup water and blended with a stick blender. The smell is quite strong! Pancake: I thought I could then hand blend the prepared product into my pancake batter. It did not blend in completely. I saw yellow bits and bobs throughout.

I've used calcium powder in baked goods too.....I use it in the form of calcium ascorbate. Hi, Mork ... I'm not Kathryn, but I did want to share that many, many times, applesauce is used as a substitute for oil or butter in low fat muffins and quick breads. I know this because my daughter is allergic to apples and we have to be careful of any sort of low-fat muffin or quick bread. Love using flax eggs!! They are so versatile. I use it as a binder in meatballs/meatloaf in addition to using it in baked goods (banana bread and muffins).
The other difference between pumpkin and pecan pies is the body or structure of the filling. This is why I like to do smaller individual pecan pies. A pecan pie is a sugar custard and does not have the pumpkin puree to help with stability. I don't think only using a starch to set up a pecan pie will work. If you can do soy, Post Punk Kitchen (very reputable vegan cooking blog) has a Maple Pecan Pie that uses tofu.
My daughter actually tested negative several times to some things as a baby despite reacting to them and then went on to test positive with low numbers. Yes, we've been seeing allergists since she was 6 or 9 months old. We have moved a couple of times and had to switch allergists and it can be confusing, some say lip swelling alone is anaphylaxis, what she had with banana and mustard, and some say it's not. It's hard when allergist's don't agree.
