Grateful for Your Help in Keeping Kids with Food Allergies Safe and Healthy

Keeping children with food allergies safe and healthy

We are grateful for you! For Thanksgiving, we would like to take this opportunity to thank all who have supported our important work this past year. You help us save lives every day. It is an honor to provide families life-saving support and information to keep their children safe and healthy.

And with your help, we will do even better.

We have exciting news to share with you... we have launched a Food Allergy Patient & Family Registry!

The Registry gives families like yours an important role and a stronger voice in the research that can lead to improved treatments and, ultimately, a cure. This registry is designed to collect data to guide research and help make life better for everyone living with food allergies.

We invite you and your family to join this important food allergy research project.

To help fuel food allergy research, simply:

  • Register online (your child and/or yourself)
  • Enter some basic information
  • Complete a confidential, no-cost Food Allergy History & Diagnosis Survey

As a Registry member you will periodically receive requests to take other surveys related to your experiences with food allergies. Because we value your time, the surveys will usually be brief (20 to 30 minutes each). And, for your convenience, you can always complete surveys in more than one sitting. Plus, you will always remain in control of when, how and with whom your information is shared ā€“ because the Registry is safe and secure.

This research project is the first of its kind - it puts patients and families at the center of food allergy research.

With thanks,
Your Friends at Kids With Food Allergies

Thank you for your continued support
and we wish you a Happy Thanksgiving!

@lisa s - here you go:

Apple Crisp

1 Tbsp margarine
7-8 medium baking apples (preferably Granny Smith)
1 cup all-purpose or sweet rice flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup margarine

Peel, core, and thinly slice apples. Grease baking dish lightly with some of the tablespoonful of margarine, and place apples inside. Dot with additional margarine.

In a medium bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, salt, and cinnamon. Mix well. Cut in the margarine to make coarse crumbs. Spread evenly over apples.

Bake at 375 F for about 30 minutes until apples are soft and crumbs are browned and starting to caramelize.
