Thanks for the heads up on the wheat starch. I know I just looked at the gummy bears and they had rice syrup. The new licorice definitely has the wheat starch derived glucose syrup. I found some info on their FB page that says only the licorice has the wheat based glucose and wheat starch is used as a "processing aid" in the molds for the fruit snacks but that it's "washed away." I can't find if that is new or just revised advisory labeling. I'll let you know what they say.
High-risk infants begin eating peanut-containing food as early as 4-6 months. Infants are considered at risk if they have severe eczema, egg allergy or both. A qualified healthcare provider should perform testing first to see if an allergy already exists. I agree wholeheartedly re: the allergy testing. We had to wait until our child was 1 years old and found out through reactions when we tried our child on new foods. As a new parent, it was a terrifying experience to go through without the...
Thanks for your feedback, Steph and Ellen! When schools follow guidelines to prevent allergic reactions, it reduces the likelihood of a severe reaction. Welcome KDKK! It's good to have you here. It looks like the Store Locator has quite a few results in the USA and Canada. Whole Foods, Target and Rite Aid are among them. Does this help? If not, a general question posted in the POFAK Main Support Forum will turn up recommendations for your location. All the best!
Thanks for catching that Dinamet7. We've removed Fruit Snacks from the list. Only the Fruit Snacks use wheat as a processing aid. The licorice is made with glucose syrup made from wheat.
This has been vey confusing, as to whether ALL Auvi-Q's are under the recall up to this point. Many on the Sanofi Lines were told it was only limited to Auvi-Q's with Expiration dates of March 2016 and later, with the lot numbers described for those Auvi-Q's. I myself received a return phone call from the FDA confirming exactly the same information, and that those Auvi-Q's with exp. dates of February 2016 and before should be fine. NOW SANOFI HAS REMOVED ALL DOUBT: ALL AUVI-Q AUTO-INJECTORS...
