I applaud your effort to provide education by writing this letter. Thank you very much for meeting this with a helpful hand. I have one request as you move forward in providing education and awareness-- In these discussions please be mindful that we need to educate and raise awareness that life-threatening food allergies are not restricted to those with nut & peanut allergy. Unfortunately too many people harbor this dangerous misimpression that only nuts cause life threatening reactions.
Also, I wanted to mention Trader Joe's carries the non-mint brownie crisps, and they are delicious! I'm fairly certain these are the Lucy's brownie crisps private labeled. Gluten, egg, nut, and dairy-free. (Of the top 8, they only contain soy.)
Sounds great My youngest sons peanut rasts have gone down in the last year from 2.09 to .95 (he is 12).He has had ana type reactions to them 4 years ago now, tingling throat, metallic taste in mouth, throat swelling which lead to a choking cough, and mucous, as well as similar reactions to almonds, some more recently as last year to these, but he passed an IOFC for almonds at the end of last year after rasts went from .59 to .39.We have avoided all nuts until just recently and now he has...

I have a quick question. If I submit a recipe, KWFA then owns it? If KWFA reprints the recipe or uses it, would I be mentioned as the original creator or do I loose all rights to it once I submit? Thanks!
I have been to a few different Whole Food's and they don't always label their in house bakery foods with a "may contain nuts" statement. I have asked them several times and they say that the items are made in the bakery around nut products. Always ask an employee about any in house Whole Foods bakery items.
Good point, Dawn. Bakery items are generally high risk for those with nut allergies due to cross contamination. I invite you to join our forum discussions and tell us how food allergies affect you .
My daughter has a life threatening nut allergy. She is 12 andhas extreme anxiety because of it. Is there a forum or blog for her that she herself can talk to others same ay have some of the same feelings. If not, is there a way to create one?
