I realize your post is from 2012 but in reading the comments trying to find a solution for my daughter's situation, I had to write in the event you were still having issues. Please google PANDAS in regards to your daughter's violent behavior after having Strep throat. There is a direct link. Re: Egg Allergy Is No Longer a Contraindication for the Flu Vaccine

aost ·
Our allergist says that they have never had an egg-allergic child react iwith ana to the flu vaccine. They give it in the office to be on the safe side (they have all the rescue meds in the unlikely event there should be a reaction). My son has had it the past three years without any issues whatsoever. My son is ana to trace amounts of egg--he has reacted to cross-contamination. He also has asthma and if he gets the flu, he is at increased risk of hospitalization or even death. We have...

Re: Plane Diverted After Girl's Allergic Reaction Mid-Flight

Juneau ·
Here we go....It's the beginning of the end of serving highly allergenic foods on flights. Not only are the passengers put at risk, but the costs the airline had to absorb costly and unnecessary. Just ban the nuts already. We can all be safe and just eat apples or something. Many choices besides foods that have become so dangerous! I hope this unfortunate event can push the airlines to finally take action and avoid this from ever happening ever again!!!

Thank you Lynda for helping organize this wonderful event. My daughter, Kathryn, (11 years old) felt very much "included" in this event with being around so many other children and adults (Kyle Dine) who are just like her, living in a world full of harmful, everyday dangers surrounding food. Hard to believe that 30 years ago, no one was aware of food allergies, and today, her school gets more and more new students who suffer from some sort of food allergy. Keep up the great work and we'll...
